We have three BAPs under development in different countries where the company operates: Peru, Ecuador and Trinidad and Tobago.

During 2008 we continued developing the Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs) started in previous years in Peru and Trinidad and Tobago.
Additionally, at the beginning of 2009, a Biodiversity Action Plan started for the operations of blocks 16 and Tivacuno, both located in the Yasuní national park (Ecuador), where Repsol had previously executed environmental monitoring plans. Also, Repsol plans to develop another Biodiversity Action Plan in 2010 for the operations being undertaken in the areas of Auca Mahuida, where environmental monitoring has already been undertaken.
Lastly, an Environmental Monitoring Plan will be started in 2010 in the Llancanelo block (Argentina), a field adjacent to Llancanelo lake, an IUCN category I zone. Work on prior environmental evaluation was started in the first few months of 2009.
