The Repsol team rider Dani Pedrosa won the Grand Prix held at the circuit of Le Mans in a race affected by rain. The rider from Castellar del Vallés therefore won enough points to move to the top of the overall World Championship standings. Marc Márquez also finished on the podium, third position, and is now second overall just six points behind the current leader
