The Repsol rider's performance in the San Marino GP was simply brilliant. He got another victory, this time at the track of Misano, and he was able to show all the skills he possesses on his Honda motorbike. Andrea Dovizioso, after a great race almost finished on the podium, although in the end he came in fourth. Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were second and third respectively.

Dani Pedrosa got his fourth win of the season at the track of Misano, and his second consecutive after his victory at Indianapolis just a week ago. The Spanish Repsol rider made another spectacular start, as is usual, and was alone at the front of the field from the very first lap, as no other rider was able to get near him. With this latest victory Pedrosa has cut the gap separating him from Jorge Lorenzo and he is now just 63 points behind the championship leader.

The other rider in the Repsol Honda Team, Andrea Dovizioso, was fourth in San Marino, as he was unable to get past his compatriot Valentino Rossi, who occupied the lowest step on the podium at the end of the race. The Italian HRC rider made good progress after overcoming the problems he had in the qualifying session on the Saturday, coming in eighth at the end of the day. His good start and his fast pace during the race meant that he was much more competitive. Jorge Lorenzo was unable to follow Pedrosa and spent the race defending his second position.
