Next season´s MotoGP grid is practically decided. The season gets under way on 12th April with a night-time race in Qatar. With only last minute changes to be added, if necessary, Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso will share the paddock with another seventeen riders from nine different countries.
So there will be nineteen riders on the grid for the first race at the circuit of Losail when the 2009 MotoGP season starts. The Repsol rider Dani Pedrosa will boast the number three on the fairing of his Honda, as he finished third in last season`s classification, whilst his new teammate Andrea Dovizioso, has chosen the number 4 for his first ever year in the official Repsol Honda team.
Pedrosa´s objective in 2009 is none other than to win the world title, a crown that he will have to snatch from the Italian Valentino Rossi. The Yamaha rider will have another Spaniard, Jorge Lorenzo, as teammate again. On the other hand, another of Dani`s rivals, Casey Stoner, will be sharing the same pits at Ducati with the American Nicky Hayden, World Champion with Repsol back in 2006.
