The race at the circuit of Le Mans confirmed thatl Dani Pedrosa is having a sensational start to th 2009 World Championship. With his third place in France the Spanish rider has now strung together three consecutive podium finishes, an almost unthinkable feat when the championship started in April because of the serious injury he had picked up in Qatar during pre-season practice and which stooped him from preparing for the season as he would have liked.

The last three races have confirmed how brave Dani Pedrosa is, as he is proving to be tougher and more aggressive than ever. At Le Mans the Spanish rider used all his pedigree to win a spectacular podium finish on the final lap. The day before he had won the pole by five thousandths of a second at the very last moment.

In Japan the Repsol rider brought off a magnificent start that helped him to finish in another third position, whilst in Jerez he rode alone for a large part of the race but finished second behind Valentino Rossi. He was only far behind the winners in the first round of the season, when he was still in pain from the operation he had had to fix his injuries, but he would also have fought back to get among the points if he had not been hit by De Angelis.

Dani Pedrosa is aware that he still has a lot to do. After a grest start to the season he is seventh in the overall classification, although only nine points behind the leader, Jorge Lorenzo. But consistency is very important and he knows it “A World Championship is won by the rider with the best average”. The Repsol rider is confident that he can continue making progress over the next few weeks and finish on top of the podium.
