Pedrosa: “This is a great result on a very special day. Thanks to the fans”
Dani Pedrosa who got his first victory of the season in MotoGP said that “This is a very special day. This is a great result. We did some great work and the team is also very pleased. I hope the fans enjoyed themselves. We did not expect to leaders now and we are we are going to see if we can find something extra on the bike, improve and so stay at the top. I want to thank all the fans that came to the circuit and those who watched on the TV.
Esteve Rabat who was 12th in 125cc said that “The truth is that I am a little upset because this morning in the warm up it seemed that things were going to go better. I made a good start and I tried to stay with the leading group but I do not know what happened with the rear tyre which from the third lap onwards started to slide around and I realised I was going relatively slowly. I opened the throttle a little and I skidded and I fell down the field. The back end was really sliding around and I was almost constantly falling”.
Julián Simón seventh in 250cc said that ”We started quite well and I was among the first four. I kept up a good pace and got the good sensations back at the beginning of the race. On the first curve Bautista and Simoncelli overtook me. Simoncelli grazed my bike and I had to open the line a little so I lost a bit of ground. When there were 16 laps left I had the same problem that I have had since the first race, my right forearm was hurt me. I have had a very bad race with the arm. This was a real pity because the circumstances meant that I could have finished on the podium.
