Marc Márquez discharged from hospital
Marc Márquez was discharged from the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus on Sunday morning. He went there for a medical examination by Dr. Mir after being injured in the first free practice session before the Malaysian GP. The Repsol rider has two fractures on his ankle, and the doctors have decided to immobilise the affected zone for two weeks. This means that he will not take part in the final race of the World Championship next weekend at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo de Cheste.
The Repsol rider was admitted to hospital on Saturday after flying back from Malaysia. He had a thorough examination so as to get an exact diagnosis of the injuries he had received on the Friday morning. After a CAT and a magnetic resonance Dr. Mir confirmed that Márquez has a fractured growing cartilage on the tibia at the height of his right ankle, as well as a fracture on the calcaneus on the same joint.
After a peaceful night in the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus and with the expected progress having been made he was discharged from hospital on Sunday morning. He will have a check-up in two weeks time so as to make sure that his recovery is progressing as it should.
