Indianapolis is the venue for the second race on USA soil this season, and also the second in the track`s recent history. The owner`s of the circuit have made a special effort to dress it up for when it hosts the Grand Prix race in August.

One has to go back to 1909 to recall the first ever motorbike race at the circuit of Indianapolis. It was on 14th August and the race inaugurated the circuit in the mid-west of the USA. At 2008, 98 years later, Indianapolis witnessed the power and passion of modern motorbike racing.

This track, which holds several massive sporting events every year, has had some important modifications made to it down the years. The owners gave it a thorough facelift so that it complied with modern safety standards. The works, which ended at the beginning of 2008 were designed to stay true to its history: the famous line of red bricks stayed intact.

A couple of narrow slow corners and other stretches that are faster means that this circuit will be an authentic challenge for the riders.
