A season in which users have been the stars of the Canal de Competición at repsol.com comes to an end
With the end of the 2009 season there is now a short rest for both the riders as well as the teams, and of course for racing fans: all of you. It has been a frenetic year and one that brought several more world titles in different disciplines and once again, an exciting season in MotoGP.
A year in which the Canal de Competición de repsol.com has made a special effort to provide a voice for racing fans and play an important role during the season. And at the same time both Facebook and Twitter have helped you transmit your opinions, ideas and suggestions to us.
There was the blog de Dani Pedrosa as well, an innovation that attracted a very interactive audience: More than 80 000 users have unstintingly supported the site during the whole season, with over 8 500 comments recorded. The end of the season also brought a special interview, something that can be seen on the vídeo especial made after the GP de la Comunitat Valenciana.
Your participation was also rewarded: Marián Ortiz was the fortunate winner of Dani Pedrosa`s racing suit mono de competición at Montmeló, something that was handed over by the Repsol rider in person. And the more than 23 000 participants in this year`s edition of the Desafío Repsol shared dozens of prizes: a Honda CBR 1000RR, trips, Nintendo Wii video-consoles, portables and many others.
The end of a season as frenetic as this one now brings us all a rest… but relative rest, because the break after the end of the season has allowed us to create a Canal de Competición which in 2010 we want to be even more complete, where you can also play a bigger role.
