After the race in Indianapolis last weekend MotoGP returns to Europe this weekend for the San Marino GP, leaving the riders without any time to catch their breath. The Repsol Honda Team will be at the circuit of Misano with the intention of getting another victory as the team`s leading rider, Dani Pedrosa, will be out to repeat in San Marino what he did last weekend: finish on the top of the podium.
This weekend the track of Misano will be the host for the twelfth race in this year`s calendar and Dani Pedrosa & Jorge Lorenzo are the big favourites to carry off the victory. The two Spanish riders are showing a very high level of rskill and in the last few races they have been accompanied by the American Ben Spies. But at the same this circuit is a special venue for Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi, who are racing almost on home soil. These two riders will try to make up for their recent disappointing results and get back on the podium.
Dani Pedrosa will start the weekend`s action in great form after getting his third win of the season, in Indianapolis, last weekend, something he had not achieved since he arrived in the top level of motorbike racing - his maximum number of wins in a MotoGP season up to then had been two. On the other hand his teammate Andrea Dovizioso admits that this is a special track for him as it is just 70 kilometres from his home town.
In 125cc a great weekend is on the cards once again. Marc Márquez is still st the top of the standings in spite of his latest results but the top three are separated by just five points. For these riders it is the eleventh race of the season and the young Repsol team member will be out to get his sixth victory of the 2010 season.
