Qatar GP

Things could not have started better for the Australian rider when he made his debut with the Repsol Honda Team in the World Championship. A clear victory at the circuit of Losail after an exciting race where Stoner had to overtake Pedrosa and Lorenzo and then ride alone at the front. First race and a win that was a taste of what was to come for Casey.

Spanish GP

Second race of the season but something to forget for Stoner at Jerez. The Repsol Honda Team rider was knocked over by Valentino Rossi when he was in the leading group and fighting for the victory. The Australian was not able to continue and so in the pits he watched his teammate Dani Pedrosa get a deserved second place.

Portugal GP

In Estoril Casey had to make do with third position after not being able to keep up with Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa who got away just after the start. After riding alone for a large part of the race Casey was on the podium alongside Pedrosa who got his first victory of the season.

French GP

Second win of the season for Casey Stoner in the Repsol Honda Team colours and at the legendary circuit of Le Mans. Sensational race by the Australian who demonstrated  his superiority from the start to the finish. A triumph that was only tarnished by the injury to Dani Pedrosa who fell after a mix-up with Simoncelli.
